TROYES V BORDEAUX PREDICTIONS   

 It’s time for the first semi-final in this Coupe de France, between Troyes, 19^th of Ligue 1, and Bordeaux, in 9^th position.

Troyes has a very tiny hope to stay in Ligue 1 next season, but they will most likely be one of the three relegated teams. This would be quite a disappointment as they have a pleasant offensive game, and they can play better than half of the Ligue 1 teams. However their defence has been too weak this season, preventing them from getting out of the relegation zone.

 Bordeaux has had a very disappointing season as well. They are usually fighting around the 5^th position, but the president has been in savings mode the last couple years, and the squad seem to become weaker and weaker.

In the previous round of Coupe de France, Troyes won 3-0 at home against Nancy (17^th of Ligue 1), while Bordeaux won 3-2 in Lens (11^th of Ligue 2). In their first and only head-to-head so far this season, Troyes drew 0-0 in Bordeaux.

They will both use their best starting 11 seeing they are 180 minutes away from a potential win in this Cup.

I think the pressure is much stronger on Bordeaux’ players than on their opponents’.
