Ajaccio have three draws and one loss so far, and are in 17th place. The loss came in the first match at home to Saint Etienne, then the three draws followed against PSG, Nice, and Sochaux. In the four matches they have scored only once, and conceded two goals. Evian TG are not that much better, they are in 14th place one point ahead of Ajaccio. They started the season with a tie at home to Sochaux, then lost to Marseille and Rennes. In the last match they surprisingly beat Lyon 2-1 at home, a result that should boost their confidence and gave them three important points in the fight against relegation.

For Ajaccio attacking midfielder/forward Eduardo Ribeiro, defensive midfielder Faty and midfielder Cavalli are all still out (Cavalli played the season opener, the other players have not played yet this season), while striker Dennis Oliech is doubtful (he came in as sub in two matches). Evian will do without Barbosa (attacking midfielder, played all matches so far), plus Ehret (midfielder, player in three of the matches), and forward Ruben (he played in one match so far).
