BORDEAUX V LYON PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

The home side is standing in 7^th position in this league with 38 points collected. When playing in Chaban-Delmas, they won 4 games, drew six times and lost just once. They have the 2^nd best defence of Ligue 1 with only 16 goals conceded in 24 games. Last weekend they lost 1-0 in Ajaccio after a very positive run.

Lyon is still sitting in the 2^nd spot despite of their two losses in a row. They lost 3-1 in Ajaccio, and also got beaten 3-1 at home by Lille. They are now 6 points behind PSG and two above Marseille. They should stop this losing streak if they don’t want to have the following teams coming back at their level. When playing away they have a good 5-4-3 record.

Both teams had to travel on Thursday for a Europa League game. Bordeaux had a much longer trip, by far, as they had to go to Kiev where they miraculously drew 1-1 (Kiev hit the post twice and had much more opportunities). Lyon can be more disappointed though. They played against Tottenham, and lost 2-1 with a 92^nd minute free kick from Gareth Bale.

We can then expect a tight game with two teams who will be pretty tired in second half.

In terms of recent form, I would give an advantage to the home side who has been doing well lately except last weekend. Lyon has some internal issue, regarding Lisandro Lopez, one of the former key players. But Bordeaux is playing shortly after a trip in Ukraine, and I don’t think it will be an easy game for them. Back a draw at 3.2 with Tipico.
