The defending champions want to really begin the season by beating Marseille at home after a poor start so far. After a draw and a defeat, it's time to confirm that Montpellier is able to defend his title or at least to be part of top 5 this season.

With playmaker Younes Belhanda back into the starting line-up, the offensive efficiency should be considerably improved.

Marseille has made a perfect start with 2 wins against Reims and Sochaux. For the first time in years, they play without pressure because nobody expects miracles from them this season with a limited budget.

Striker Gignac looks fit and seems to be finally back to his best, he will be the man to watch by Montpellier’s defense. They might be a bit tired after having played in Moldavia against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday in Europa League (win 1-2).
