Lorient are hovering around the fringes of the relegation battle. They have accrued 36 points so far this season and are just 8 above the bottom three. Home form has been excellent with 7 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses. However recent form has been awful with 1 win, 1 draw and 4 losses. They will miss a few key attackers here with Aboubakar (top scorer) Barthelme and Gassama all out. PSG continue to power ahead and are flying at the top of Ligue 1. They have a lead of 8 points over Monaco and have lost once all season. Away form for PSG is 9 wins, 4 draws and 1 defeat (best in division) – Recent form sees 5 PSG unbeaten in 11 games (10 wins and 1 draw) in all competitions. Out for them here will be defender Van der Wiel.
Despite the superb home form of Lorient its hard to see past anything other than a PSG win here. A superb squad and a fantastic 1st eleven. World class players in all key areas and strengthened in the winter transfer window. The league looks theirs for the taking and the Champions League could be added too.
