These two teams are in 14th and 15th place and are currently placed well below their expectations.  Lyon started the season well but have a very bad run now with only one win in last 11 matches in all competitions. Their last two matches were a draw 1-1 at home against Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League and then a very disappointing loss 5-1 away to Montpellier in the league. Bordeaux are not that much better, but they got a much welcomed 4-1 win at home to Sochaux in last match that should boost their morale.

Both teams have several players unavailable. Lyon have Kone, Vercoutre, and Umtiti injured. In addition Bedimo, Gonalons, and important attacking midfielder/forward Lacazette (highest rated team player this season) are all suspended. Three players are also doubtful: Dabo, Bisevac, and Miguel Lopes. Bordeaux also have three players suspended: Maurice-Belay, Poundje, and Henrique. Two players are injured, Polo and Brechet, while three are doubtful: Carrasso, Mariano (defender, team’s second best rated player this season), and Diabate.

Both teams have many players out and are in poor form. Lyon have disappointed the most this season and lost last match 5-1 while Bordeaux won their last with 4-1. The injury problems might be worse for Bordeaux as Lyon have the most depth in their squad. But overall this looks like a close match hard to predict the outcome of. The most interesting here is the draw, I am betting draw at 23/10 (3.30) with Coral.
