LYON V LILLE PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

This is the most interesting game of the week in Ligue 1. Lyon is on the 2^nd spot of the league with 45 points collected in 23 games. When playing home, their record is close to perfect as they won 8 games, drawing 2 and losing only once. However, those two draws were in the last 3 fixtures, and against much poorer team (Evian and Nancy).

Lille is in 10^th position with an overall record of 7-10-6 for a total of 31 points. When they are playing away from home, the record is far from being impressive (2-6-4). In their last 5 trips, they lost twice 1-0 to big clubs (PSG and Marseille), and drew three times against teams fighting in the relegation zone.

Last weekend they both lost points they were not really supposed to. Lyon lost 3-1 in Ajaccio (12^th), and Lille drew at home against Troyes (20^th). PSG has won on Friday, putting a lot of pressure on Lyon’s players who are now 6 points behind before this clash.

Lisandro Lopez is back for the home side. Even though he scored just 6 goals so far, he always brings a lot and creates spaces in opponent’s defence. He will play on the front line with Bafé Gomis who is more consistent this season (12 goals). Lovren, their center back is suspended after his red card in Ajaccio.
