Lyon are in 11th position after a rather mediocre start with 2-1-2. After a very nice run of 10 unbeaten matches from May to mid-August, they are now in poor form with six matches without wins (four of them were lost). The last two matches were draws, last weekend they played 0-0 at home to Rennes, and this midweek it was 0-0 in a difficult away match against Real Betis in the Europa League. Nantes have same amount of points as Lyon and are also 2-1-2 so far this season. Both their wins came at home against Bastia and Sochaux, the losses at home to PSG and away to Lorient. 

For Lyon attacking midfielder Danic, attacking midfielder Ghezzal and goalie Vercoutre are all out (Danic have played a bit in three matches, the other two have not featured yet this season). Attacking midfielder Gourcouff and defender Lopes are both doubtful (both started in four of the matches). Nantes are expected to be without defender Veigneau (he played in four matches and is second highest rated player) and attacking midfielder Nicolita (he featured in four matches). Doubtful players are midfielder Pancrate (sub in two matches) and midfielder Audel (not featured yet this season).
