This Ligue 1 tie between Metz and Rennes look tight on paper. Metz lost last matchday to get back to reality after three wins on the trot against relatively weak Ligue 1 opponents. Rennes on the other hand broke a three game losing streak by beating Lens 2-0. Their three game losing streak was against top half teams it must be said. They did play both Bordeaux and Marseille in that interval.
What makes this bet so exciting is that Metz already had a bit of injuries and now DM N'Daw and striker Falcon (4 goals in 8 apps) as well. It is just too much for a side who also miss Lejune (attacking player with 2 assists), Metanire who has 9 apps so far (full back), Carasso (first choice keeper), Rocchi (DM) and a likely starter with N'Daw as well as Marchal with 3 apps so far (CB).
I am not opting for the 1x2 line even if over 3x the money looks good. I take Rennes +0.25 at 1.82 with SBO. In this case; half the stake is on X2 and half the stake is a Draw No Bet. So, if the game ends a draw we get half the stake back, while the other half is multiplied with 1.82. If Rennes win, we win x 1.82.
