REIMS V LYON PREDICTIONS

This game is extremely important for both teams, at opposite ends of this Ligue 1 table.    

Reims is in 16^th position with 31 points, as many as Sochaux (17^th). They will be fighting for their Ligue 1 life until the last round. In their last 5 games, they won twice, drew once and lost twice. At home, they have a decent record with 6 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses. They actually remain on two impressive home performances, 1-0 over PSG (1^st) followed by another 1-0   win over Rennes (10^th).

After two losses In a row, Lyon has lost its 2^nd spot to Marseille. On top of that, Marseille has won on Friday, so all of a sudden Lyon has a 4 points gap to catch up. That will probably put some pressure on Remi Garde’s players, especially since St-Etienne and Lille are standing just behind them and are in a much better form. If they don’t win here, Lyon could have to face  a  huge disappointment in a few weeks and miss the next Champion’s League.

REIMS – LYON BETTING TIPS

I am afraid that Lyon’s home loss to Sochaux last week was not just an accident. Even if  overall they have been doing a good season so far, Lyon has never impressed or improved in their game. They also have a difficult situation with several players who are waiting to leave the club, such as their striker Lisandro Lopez who is clearly not feeling well anymore. I would back the draw at 3.4 with Ladbrokes.
