Rennes have started the season well and are in fourth place with two wins and one loss. The loss came in the second match away to Nice (2-1), and the two victories came at home against Reims (2-1) and away to Evian TG (2-1). In the match against Evian TG they were effective, Evian had 59% possession and 17 attempts and five shots on target, so Rennes won based on only 41% possession and 11 attempts where four were on target. But Rennes were overall the best team and dominated the player ratings, forward Oliveira was man of the match and scored both goals.
