ST-ETIENNE V PSG PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

This is an extremely important game on top of the Ligue 1 table. If the home side wins this game, they could take Marseille’s 3^rd spot, which would be deserved considering St-Etienne amazing run in 2013. They are still unbeaten this year, which makes a streak of 13 games without losing. Moreover, they have a psychological advantage over Paris Saint-Germain as they already beat then twice this season. The first time was in championship, 2-1 for the Greens in Paris, and then in Coupe de la Ligue, 1-0 in St-Etienne.

At home, St-Etienne has a solid 8-2-4 record with only 9 goals conceded in those 14 games. Last week they drew 2-2 in Rennes.

Paris has a 4 point lead over Lyon at the moment. When playing away from home, they won 7 of their 13 games, drawing 3 and losing 3 as well. But they remain on 2 very disappointing losses in their last two trips, in Sochaux (18^th) and Reims (17^th). Now that they in the Champion’s League quarter-finals, they have issues to get motivated in the league, as the captain Thiago Silva has mentioned this week.

Paris will be missing some important players in Thiago Motta, Verratti, Menez and Lucas Moura. Every time both Menez and Lucas have been missing, which means no proper right wing, Paris has been struggling much more than usual.

I’m not sure that I would have bet on Paris with a full squad, so I will not do it with those important midfields missing.
