ARLES V MONACO PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Those two teams have two totally opposite concerns this season. The home side is in 17^th position, with a single point ahead of the relegation places. On the other side, Monaco is sitting in the 2^nd position, 3 points behind Nantes and one ahead of Caen. They actually were the favourite for this league at the beginning of the season so it is not a surprise to see them high in the table.

After playing a Champion’s League final against Porto, 8 years ago, Monaco had some hard times and went down in Ligue 2 at the end of the 2010-2011 season. But in the end of 2011, a Russian billionaire bought the club. After a slow beginning, he has now started investing in some Ligue 1 players like Medjani and Riviere recently. But most important, they could afford to hire Claudio Ranieri as a coach. The objective is obviously to be back in the top league next season, and to build a very big team on the mid-term.

Arles is 3-5-3 when playing home, and Monaco has a very solid record of 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses when playing away, making them the best away team of Ligue 2.

Especially at home, against the biggest club of the league. But Monaco has lost only one of its last 9 games in the league, and it was in Caen (3^rd).

I expect a tight game in this fixture so I would back the draw at 3.25 with Coral.
