Borussia Dortmund pretty much destroyed Augsburg in their Season opener. Aubameyang got off to a great start with three goals in a 4-0 win where also Lewandowski scored. I will not waste much time on writing about Dortmund. It’s an exceptional side, with wonderful players showing great form. Lukaz Piszczek is still out after his hernia operation. Midfield ace Gundogan will sit out after he got injured while on international duty. Armenian ball artist Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be ready here after being injured just after transferring from Shakhtar. Edit: Mkhitaryan is in the squad so I am sure he will get game time.

Braunschweig lost 1-0 at home to Werder Bremen. That was a very cagey game. Overall Braunschweig probably deserved something out of the game after they realized Bremen could be dealt with. However, it wasn’t to be on the day.

Dortmund looks hungry! Their win away to Augsburg shows me that they now seem to have some of the same ruthlessness and will to win that made Bayern Munich so tough to beat last season. Braunschweig will lay low like they did against Bremen for much of the first half. Probably Dortmund will be allowed about 70% possession. With the quality they possess I do not think that will end well for the visitors.
