Cologne was promoted to the Bundesliga a few seasons ago, and in my opinion they have done many things correctly since then. They have built a solid defence and gradually improved their offence. Cologne does not appear to have any new injuries (on important players). But newcomer Guirassy is doubtful.
Darmstadt looks weakened for this season, especially in offence. The club is not cash-rich either, and the sale of Wagner will be tough to deal with. For this match they also will have to do without Victor Obinna and Gyorgy Garics. Two other players are doubtful: Peter Niermeyer and Aytac Sule (captain).
It is the first match of the season, so my bet is based on a total assessment of transactions in the transfer window, the last season and expectations for this season.
