Eintracht Frankfurt will still have to do without their top scorer from last season, Meier. But despite this, they did play quite well against Wolfsburg in the season opener. Over the last seasons, the club has both scored a lot and conceded a lot of goals, but their last match gave some indication that they are now a bit better balanced, and Castaignos and Seferovic on top played quite well. Wolfsburg is a tough opponent, and Eintracht could do better against an easier opponent such as Augsburg.
Augsburg should have beaten Hertha Berlin in their first match of the season, but they were unable to convert their scoring opportunities. And the fact that Bobadilla, probably their best offensive player, got sent off did not help. So he will not be available for this match, and another offensive player Shawn Parker is also unavailable. Tim Matavz is doubtful.
