Hamburger SV is at the moment only six points above the relegation line, while Frankfurt is only one point above the line. Frankfurt is in desperate need of points, and will have to go out in attack in this match, which should create good counter-attacking opportunities for HSV. Normally Frankfurt would have the capacity to get the result they need at home, but things are not going their way at the moment. HSV has not played that well after the Christmas/New Year break, but they have taken four out of last six points at least.

For Frankfurt, left-back Oczipka is out (suspension). Their centre-back Zambrano is back again (after not playing last match). Reinartz, Castaignos, Flum and Anderson are all still unavailable.

For HSV, Djourou is back. Holteby in midfield is currently doubtful, but expected to be available. Gregoritsch is still out.

I find the over 2.5 goals bet interesting. Frankfurt will have to take some chances in this match, they have scored two or more goals in their last three home matches, and with a player like Meier on the pitch they should be able to convert their opportunities. HSV is very good at counter-attacking, and only twice this year have they finished an away match without scoring. Frankfurt is one of the teams that has conceded the most goals so far this season, so it is possible HSV will score at least two goals, meaning the match could quickly end over 2.5 goals.
