FORTUNA DUSSELDORF V BAYER LEVERKUSEN PREDICTIONS

Two teams who have been struggling recently in the Bundesliga take the field and hope to turn their fortunes round and finish the season strongly.

Fortuna Dusseldorf are a disappointing 15^th in the table with 29 points from 26 matches.  They have a buffer of 5 points over 16^th place Augsburg so are safe from relegation for now but a few straight defeats could have them too close for comfort.  They have not won a match in 4 attempts, drawing 2 and losing 2 and this has let the bottom sides close the gap on them.  They should have enough to stay clear of the bottom 3 but have some tough matches coming up so they’ll have to fight for every point.

Leverkusen are clear in 3^rd in the Bundesliga with 45 points from 26 matches.  This leaves them 4 points behind second place Dortmund and 6 points ahead of 4^th place Frankfurt.  They will be confident they can consolidate the 3^rd place finish and appear in the Champions League next season but 2 straight defeats have let the chasing teams close the gap.  With just 1 win in 5 games the Leverkusen fans will be sweating but with a 6 point lead still they should be able to hang on.
