Freiburg (4-7-12) have not won in the last five, and they occupy one of the automatic relegation spots. With seven straight losses to todays opponents, mostly heavy defeats, big improvement is needed to hope to get anything from this game. Dortmund (14-3-6) have won six of their last seven games, and are back into second spot in Bundesliga, allbeit a full twenty points behind leaders Bayern. They look to back on track for a strong finish to the season, and will expect to collect all three points in this. Pilar(mid) and Freis(str) miss out injured for Freiburg, and Dortmund are still without Subotic, Gundogan, Bender and Blaszczykowski.
