Hamburg have always been a top flight club but are currently something of a fallen giant. The start of this season suggests a campaign at the foot of the table as just 1 point has been taken, including a humbling 5-1 home loss to Hoffenheim.  This offers a golden chance of a first win of the campaign. Key defender Jansen is out with a broken toe.

Braunschweig are back in the top flight for the first time since 1984-85 season and after 3 games they have nothing to show except a solitary goal scored, and it looks likely to be a short stay . Last time out they were outplayed with just 43% possession by a Frankfurt side gaining there first points of the season.  Key man Correia is likely to miss out with a muscle problem after starting the first 3 games, and midfielder Korte who has yet to feature this term is still out.
