Hamburger SV (HSV) played a pretty good game away to Schalke on Match day 1. After going 1-0 down they took the lead both 2-1 and 3-2. The game ended 3-3 though. HSV has no new injury worries or suspensions to report. Central defenders; Djorou and Mancienne will still sit out.

Hoffenheim played 2-2 at home against Nurnberg after going 2-0 up. Hoffenheim has doubts over German U21 attacking midfielder Volland and central midfielder Salihovic. New boy Braafheid (defender) is out still, and so is the striker Derdiyok.

HSV – Hoffenheim betting tips for the 1x2

HSV has a good grip on Hoffenheim at home. The last two season they won 2-0, and before that 1-0. Hamburger SV will definitely try to continue that trend.  When the sids met last season Hoffenheim created some chances early on in the game, but HSV took over and never looked threatened as they went close to both three and four goals.

Hamburg has already played against a very attacking side in Schalke. All though they leaked 3 goals, they also showed they can penetrate and score. Hoffenheim has improved their squad, but here I think they run into problems big time as they will apply the attack is our best defense strategy yet again.

As Hamburg misses both Djorou and Mancienne at the back I think they will be a bit generous at the back. I definitely see Hoffenheim scoring here.
