HERTHA V MAINZ : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

These two sides got dumped out of the German cup midweek both to lower league opposition, and will seek a quick response here. Hertha  have eight points so far and a home record of (201), and played out a 1-1 draw in Freiburg last week in the league. They have gone four without a win, and will look to Brazilian midfielder Ronny to conjure some magic and inspire a win. Brooks, Holland, Baumjohann and Ndjeng all have injuries going into the game. Hertha have the best of this fixture with just one loss in nine, though haven’t managed to win it in the last three seasons the last two being draws.

Mainz have lost their last four games, prior to the cup loss going down tamely 4-1 at home to Leverkusen in the league. They were 4 down after an hour and a late consolation proved little reward. Bungert, Baumgartlinger and Parker are all expected to miss out here, and Nicolai Muller will look to add to his six goals after three games without a goal.

Mainz early form seems to have deserted them, and Hertha are hardly in great form themselves. Best bet for the 1X2 market could prove to be the Draw at 3.60(13/5) Bet365. The fixture has ended a draw for the last two seasons and will at least get both sides back in the points.
