MAINZ 05 V WOLFSBURG PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Mainz are 7^th in the Bundesliga with 32 points from 22 matches which leaves them just 2 points off a Europa League spot and 5 points off the final Champions League spot.  This is a lofty position for the team who finished 13^th last season and they are punching well above their weight.  A drop off in their form lately has seen just 1 win in their last 5 matches, along with 3 draws.  If they want to hold onto their position they need to get back to winning ways, especially at home.

Wolfsburg are a lowly 15^th in the table with 26 points from 22 matches but are in little immediate danger of relegation with 16^th place Hoffenheim a full 10 points below them.  The bottom 3 being so far behind gives a good buffer to Wolfsburg but they will still be hugely disappointed by their position and will be fighting hard to move up the table.  Their recent form has seen 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats in their last 5 and if they continue with that they should move up the table.
