Moenchengladbach is still very much in the hunt for a Champions League spot. At home they are 8-1-1 so far in the Bundesliga. A very impressive stat. However, with back to back losses and no Bundesliga wins in four it is quite important they bounce back against a Leverkusen that themselves have looked sub par lately. Here Julian Korb (Right back) will be suspended.

Bayer Leverkusen lost three on the trot after beating Dortmund away. They did however bounce back with a 2-1 win at home to Stuttgart last match day. Robbie Kruse (Attacking midfielder) who is on the fringes of the starting eleven sits out. Away from home Leverkusen anno 2013/2014 looks very hit or miss with 5-0-4 so far.

In the recent past when these sides have met at Borussia Park it has been high scoring, and since and including 2011 the stats read 0-2-1. It must be said though that this edition of Gladbach is the best in quite some time. In the reverse fixture this season Leverkusen was the best side and won 4-2. In particular it must be said their offense with Kiessling, Sam and Son tormented the Gladbach defense.

I am not going to bet against a team I rate highly with a 8-1-1 home stat. Leverkusen has lost back to back fixtures away from home, and here they should be pushed back by an attack minded home side. Gladbach's only home loss of the season came to a rampant Bayern Munich, a team that arguably is the best in the world right now.
