Last week after leading 2-0 at Frankfurt they had to rely on a late equaliser though in a 3-3 draw, and had a tough European trip to Romania in midweek. Stuttgart (4-4-5) have just one win in their last six league outings, although they have a decent recent record at this ground, with three wins and a draw in their last six visits. Schalke are missing Hildebrand(regular keeper), Goretzka, Clemens, Hoger(mid)and Huntelaar(str). Stuttgart only have Cacau(str) injured.
