Go Ahead Eagles are 2-2-2 (1-1-0 at home) so far this season in the Eresdivisie. They’ve beaten Den Hag 2-1 and drawn Groningen 3-3 at home. The newly promoted side has proven they might cut it in the Eresdivisie and must be fairly satisfied with their own performance level so far.

Cambuur is also newly promoted, and 2-2-2 in the Eresdivisie so far (0-1-2 away). They’ve lost 2-0 to surprise league leader Zwolle and drew PSV 0-0. The side is tough to break down, but they aren’t the most creative in the final third either.

When the sides met in the Eerste divisie last season it ended 1-1. In the reverse fixture Cambuur won 2-0. Both sides have lost a few previously regular players in the transfer window, but have done well bringing in talented young players.
