RODA - CAMBUUR : PREDICTIONS

Netherlands Eridivisie on a Friday night, in a league packed with goals it is an enticing fixture between Roda and Cambuur.

Roda are one of the smaller sides in Netherlands Eridivisie and cannot be expected to challenge or compete with the bigger sides.  Outright league quotes of 1000-1 sum up the chances of the side from Kerkrade. The side had to endure a relegation playoff last time out and the signs point towards a better season this time out.  Roda opened up with an away game at Champions Ajax. They lost 3-0 and were way below the home side in quality.

Cambuur of Leeuwarden have not managed a top flight season since 2000 so will be eager to build on a decent opening performance. They performed admirably in a tricky opening tie with NAC Breda.  Playing better than their more illustrious opponents and getting off the marks pointswise. Cambuur lose Tim Bakens to De Graafschap but he wont be missed as just a squad player.

Two sides expecting to battle it out in the relegation spots, it’s a tough task for both teams. Roda were hammered on opening day but did draw the short straw of Ajax away. Cambuur battled gamely in the home draw with NAC Breda, but did have chances and will have to convert if they hope to stay in Eridivisie.  I think this could be a tough season for Cambuur on the road and prefer Roda at 1.83 (bet365)
