Both teams are enduring difficult league campaigns, so this cup quarter final offers some welcome distraction. Roda knocked out PSV in round 3, and joint league leaders Vitesse in the last round. The difficult draws continue with the visit of holders AZ, but after eight winless league games, it seems the cup brings them to life. AZ are hardly flying in the league themselves, in a disappointing mid table position. Still in the Europa league, they will be targeting retaining the cup that they won last year, as their way to domestic glory. They ended a run of four league defeats, with a win at home on Saturday to suggest a return to form. Fleddurus(mid) and Demouge(str) are out injured for Roda.
