NIGERIA V BURKINA FASO PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS
Time for the grand final of the African Cup of Nations between Nigeria and Burkina Faso. This will be there second meeting ever, the first clash happened in the group and that game ended in a draw 1-1 after Alain Traore managed to score the equalizer in the 94th minute.
Nigeria probably has been the best and most stable team in this years’ African Cup of Nations. They totally destroyed Mali in the semi-finals with 4-1. Their go to guy has been Emmanuel Emenike with his four goals and one assist. Nigeria is a pretty big favourite to take their third AFCON title. There are some injury concerns involving two of their best players Emenike and Mosses but they are both in the starting lineup.
Probable lineup:
Enyeama
Ambrose, Oboabona, Omeruo, Elderson
Onazi, Mikel, Mba
Ideye, Emenike, Moses
Burkina Faso by far the biggest surprise in this years’ tournament. They had a little tougher path to the finals, won in the quarter-finals against Togo in extra time and won against Ghana in the semi-finals on penalties. They are the underdogs and will have a really tough task to beat the good looking Nigeria. Their go to guys have definitely been Jonathan Pitroipa and Alain Troare. They have been just amazing together. Bad news for Burkina Faso is that their best striker Alain Troare will miss the finals due to an injury. Jonathan Pitroipa now has to steer the ship on his own, he is their key player if they want to stand a chance against the dangerous Nigeria.
Probable lineup:
Diakite
Koffi, B. Kone, Koulibaly, Panandetiguiri
D. Kone, Kabore, Rouamba, Pitroipa, Nacoulma
Bance
NIGERIA V BURKINA FASO PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW
My gut says that Nigeria is too strong for a Burkina Faso but in my heart I really hope that Burkina Faso wins and make history, this is their first final ever! Burkina Faso without Alain Troare has a slim chance but I don’t think Nigeria will let this chance slip away. Emenike announced that he was going for the best scorer in this years’ AFCON and he’s one goal behind. Nigeria takes the gold in 2013 African Cup of Nations.
