The Champions League 2^nd legs continue and we start with Armenian’s Alashkert against Andorran Santa Coloma. The 1^st leg finished 0-0 in Andorra in a slight shock. Alashkert had the better of the game and many chances but could not convert. They are a new side in Armenian football with only 25 years history.  Their recent fortunes changed when they were bought up and relocated from Martuni to the capital Yerevan.  They won their 1^st every title last year. In Europe they have played 5 times with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.  Winning both their home games but losing two on the road.  Santa Coloma are Andorra’s main team with 10 league titles, including the last 3 in a row. They have played in Europe for 13 seasons and have only every qualified once (against Armenian side Banants) Total record reads 2 wins, 3 draws and 22 losses. They have only avoided defeat once in an away tie and that was last year against Lincoln of Gibraltar.

The odds are shortening somewhat on Santa Coloma but for me siding with Alashkert is the best option.
