Celtic travel to Kazahkstan to face Astana in a game I can see them struggling in.  Astana did well last season and made the group stages of the UCL. They went unbeaten at home against Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray and Benfica. This season they are already 21 games into their season and have a 7 point lead at the top of the table with a game in hand.  They have got through 1 round already with a 2-1 win over Zalgiris of Lithuania, winning 2-1 at home and drawing 0-0 away.  Celtic come here with no league games under their belt as yet. They have 2 UCL games against Lincoln of Gibraltar – famously losing away 1-0 but winning 3-0 at home. They did drew 1-1 with Leicester in ICC on Saturday.   As is the problem for most teams travelling to Astana is the huge distances involved and time changes. Astana is 4,000 miles away from Glasgow and several time zones. Celtic have a logistical nightmare and will do well to come away with anything here for me. They also have an injury nightmare, with Jozo Simunovic, Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer all out joining Erik Sviatchenko on the sidelines. Leaving Celtic with no 1^st choice central defenders. Kolo Toure is not available for selection either.  With Stefan Johansen not travelling either. Astana are without skipper Tanat Nusserbayev.
