Kazahkstan champions Astana made history by making the group stages. They have acquitted themselves well with a 2-2 draw with Galatasaray to grab a 1st ever point. However after three games they seem to have given up and are playing a weakened side at Atletico Madrid. They have put all importance on the run in for the Kazak championship and as they trail by 4 points and play leaders Kairat at the weekend they have prioritised that. Twumasi is suspended but key player Roger Canas will not start here in preparation for the league match. Atletico have 1 win and 1 draw so far but will target 6 points against Astana and some positive goal difference too.
