ATLETICO MADRID V MILAN: 1x2 BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

A tight first  leg at San Siro as Milan had the upper hand for most of the game but still left the game on the losing side. A Diego Costa goal late on could have swung the tie. A fantastic performance from Madrid keeper Courtois meant Milan were kept at bay for the 90 minutes. Recent form for Milan is mixed  as they sit in 10^th in Serie A. They have won 2 but lost 4 of the last six games and for me this is one of the weakest Milan sides in recent memory. They prepared for this game by resting Kaka and Taarabt while Balotelli and Essien were late substitutes. Captain Montelivo will be out suspended. Atletico are flying in La Liga and head Barcelona at this moment as the two Madrid sides have taken a small lead in the title race. Recent form for them is ok with 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.  Manquillo and Tiago are both out for them.

The 1^st leg had a few chances for both sides but some top keeping by Courtois mean Milan were kept goalless. Here I feel that this will be equally as cagey. Milan will only really commit to attack in the latter stages of the game. Both sides have competent defences and I could see a goalless game to well into the hour mark. Under  2.5 looks good here and it’s a surprise to see overs favoured. There have only been 20 goals in both teams last 10 games for a very low 2.00 goals per game average. With 7 of the 10 games finishing under 2.5 goals.
