It’s the Champions League again and we move over to extreme Northern Europe for an intriguing tie in Faroes. B36 Torshavn host the mighty The New Saints of Wales. Now the odds here are in massive favour of the Welsh – too much in my opinion. Let’s take a look at the stats. The Faroes have 10 league titles but just 2 in the last 10 years as they sit in the shadow of neighbours HB.  They have competed regularly in Europe though having seen 34 matches. Results have not been great mind with 2 wins (over IBV Iceland and Birkirkara Malta) they do have 7 draws though and the majority have been in last few years. They have only lost by small margins to the likes of Midtjylland and Brondy to show their stolid qualities. TNS are a very successful side in Wales with 9 league titles in the 15 years of the league. They have only managed to navigate two ties in their history (qualifying past Bohemians Ireland and Cliftonville Northern Ireland) their total results in Europe show 3 wins, 5 draws and 30 losses. Their only win apart from two qualification success was against Ventspils Latvia in 2007.

Close game for sure and with it being 2 legs I think the Welsh will be happy to take a draw back to Wales.  Torshavn are ranked below the Welsh Champions but I think at home with a +0.5 start they are well worth a bet. We get paid on the Torshavn win or a draw.
