BATE Borisov of Belarus are a familiar name to most now on the European stage. They have taken their domestic tally to 11 titles, including the last 9 on the run. In Europe they made the Champions League group stages last season – but struggled in a tough group of Porto, Bilbao and Donetsk. They did beat Slovan Bratislava and Debrecen to make the group though. They year before they ran both Karagandy and Fenerbahce close – going down by narrow margins to both. They won last years title to take their haul to 10 leagues. That title was their 1^st for 20 years. They have 10 wins, 8 draws and 30 losses.

Although Dundalk have started the season well they face a huge step up in class here. To get some sort of comparison St Patricks lost home and away to Latvian Skonto and this BATE side are a class above them. The odds are simply too big on BATE here, I take the -1.25 line.
