Bayer Leverkusen have had an excellent start to this years Bundesliga with 6 wins and just 1 defeat. Only Dortmund have scored more then Bayern and only Bayern Munich have conceded less. In UCL so far Leverkusen were outclassed at Old Trafford and lost 4-2 to Man Utd. Attackers Sidney Sam and Steffan Kiessling have been outstanding with 5 goals each this season. Starting midfielder Gonzalo Castro is out while key man Lars Bender is highly doubtful.

Real Sociedad have simply fell apart over the last few weeks after such a promising start. They have not won for six games now in a poor run. Three draws and three defeats with just 3 goals scored and 9 conceded show there are big problems in front of goal. Sociedad sit in 13^th with 1 win, 4 draws and 2 defeats. In UCL so far they did beat Lyon home and away but in group stages lost at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.  Xabi Prieto (key man) is out while Granero is out for the season. Diego Ifran (squad attacker) is out.
