Dortmund vs Arsenal predictions & betting tips

Borussia Dortmund is 2-0-1 in the Champions League so far this season. Their opposition, Arsenal has the exact same stats. The sides met last match day and it was Dortmund that took all the points in a cagey affair with few clear cut chances. The sides met in 2011; Arsenal won at home and the game ended 1-1 away. The Gunners were perhaps lucky to get that point back then!

Dortmund impressed in the weekend thumping Stuttgart 6-1 while Arsenal cemented their position as EPL leader by beating Liverpool 2-0 at the Emirates.

Team News

Of the regulars; Gundogan is still out for Dortmund. Captain Stefan Kehl (Defensive midfield) is out, and Mats Hummels (Central Defender) is a major doubt. Fringe player Piszczek is out.

Arsenal has an even more worrisome injury list “as usual”. Flamini (defensive midfielder), Diaby (Midfielder), Walcott (Attacking Midfielder), Wilshere (Central Midfielder), Podolski (Attacking Midfielder),Oxelade-Chamberlain (Midfielder) are all still out.

Arsenal still has a great eleven, but behind that eleven it looks quite thin.

Dortmund has to be the favorite here. They have a fantastic squad that is relatively injury free. There is nothing wrong with their form either. Arsenal has amassed a great deal of football lately and have had half a day less rest since the last game. With a lot of injuries, and yet another tough game in the weekend (Man Utd) I think Arsene Wenger and his men will find this playful Dortmund side too hard to cope with.
