Gladbach impressed all last season with a strong 4^th place finish in the Bundesliga allowing them to enter Champions League Qualifiers this year.  They are yet to start their domestic campaign and have relied on friendlies to get their fitness up to game speed. 

Dynamo have played 6 games in their domestic league already so should be some way ahead of Gladbach in their fitness.  This could be a telling advantage at this stage of the season.  Dynamo also had a tough qualifier to get to this stage, facing Feyenoord last round where they managed a 2-1 win at home and a 1-0 win away. 

There has been some huge investment from Dynamo this summer with 7 new arrivals coming in costing over €30m.  It will be disappointing therefore if they do go out before the group stages and only end up with a Europa League spot.

Gladbach have just about matched the spending of Dynamo bringing in 5 players themselves.  The biggest signing a €12m striker Luuk de Jong from FC Twente after an impressive 25 goals in 33 starts last season.

Total Goals

Despite the array of attacking talent on offer the market expects Under 2.5 goals to be more likely at 1.8 than the over at 2.2.  Gladbach were known for their strong defence last season and conceded the second lowest total in the league.

Asian Handicap

Gladbach are small favourites tonight with the handicap set at -0.25 and priced at 1.87, with Kiev +0.25 at 2.09.  This is a tough match to call with Gladbach not having played a league game or CL qualifier before this, we will need to see how their new signings react to the team and how their match fitness is compared to Kiev.
