Celtic have already lost in the champions league preliminaries but they re-entered due to some lax administration by Legia Warsaw. A 6-1 aggeragate loss is hardly the best preparation for Celtic but in Maribor of Slovenia they face lesser quality than the Polish. So far then in Champs League Celtic have played won 2 against KR Rekjavik and lost 2 against Legia with an away 1-1 draw in Slovenia. Celtic are ranked 54 by UEFA but this rating does not reflect on their current quality. This is not a Celtic side of recent years but should be good enough to be at Maribor. The Slovenians will use counterattacks − they're very organised and hard-working. However they are a very limited side and I have a feeling they may wilt infront of a 60,000 sellout Celtic Park.
Celtic will feel like they were given an excellent chance to make the group stage again, something Maribor have only done once this century. Celtic will grab the win here am sure and do not underestimate the crowd here. A full and roaring Celtic Park has won games for The Hoops before. I suspect Maribor will not be prepared for this and take a home win.
