This tie is well set up for an explosive finish when Maribor takes on Dinamo Zagreb in the second leg of their Champions League Qualifier.  We will preview the match and give some predictions on the major betting markets.

The first leg was a tight affair with Dinamo taking an early lead through striker Duje Cop.  They were unable to hang onto half time however and an own goal by Milan Badelj gave Maribor a vital away goal.  Badelj managed to atone for his error and scored the winner for Dinamo with 15 minutes remaining and gave them a 2-1 lead to take to Slovenia. 

Both teams are in strong domestic form and are leading their respective leagues, Zagreb with 16 points after 6 games and Maribor with 17 points after 7 games.  Both will be hoping to turn this strong form into a Champions League appearance and the financial benefit it brings.

Total Goals

Under 2.5 Goals is priced at 1.87 with the Over best price at Ladbrokes at 2.1.  Maribor requires at least a goal but a 1-0 win will take them through so they would be happy with that.  If Dinamo gets the first goal then you can expect Maribor to revert to all out attack to get the win.

Asian Handicap

The market doesn’t see much between the teams with the handicap set at 0.  Zagreb is priced at 1.88 with Maribor at 2.07.  I believe with Maribor in need of a result they will be pushing hard to get the win and I think at the current price they look a decent bet.
