CHELSEA V BASEL PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Strange start to the season for Chelsea who have not really got going. Mourinho has not really managed to improve Chelsea much yet. With an abundance of small attackers and lots of similar players it going to be  lot of chopping and changing early on to see who fits where. Willian and Eto’o joined on deadline day and Eto’o offers something different from Ba and Torres. We should see an improved Chelsea I think as the loss to Everton on Saturday will be a kick up the backside the team needs. Unimpressive wins over Villa and Hull plus an awful 0-0 away draw at Man United mean  Chelsea have points but have not really made anyone sit up. A full squad for Mourinho to select a winning side.

Basel have had a solid start to Switzerland Premier League. With 3 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat they sit in 3^rd just 3 points behind leaders Young Boys. They have 1 Swiss cup victory and also 2 Champions League wins, beating Ludgorets of Bulgaria in both legs. Basel have a decent side this year and could surprise a few teams in the Champions League. At St Jakobs Park they can certainly get a minimum 2 wins so they could be an outside chance for the 2^nd position.

CHELSEA V BASEL BETTING TIPS

Basel are expected to struggle in this group but I have a sneaky feeling they will have a few wins. However no-one in the group is likely to get anything at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea at home will grab maximum points from all games.  I think a home win and one with goals is on the cards. Chelsea are a bit bigger pricewise than they should be so some good value on the handicaps. Chelsea -1.5 at bet365 is 1.95 which is a very good price indeed.
