Its Champions League time again here and we have the draw of the round in Northern Ireland.  Crusaders won a first title for over 19 years as they grabbed their 5^th league win.  In European competition they have played 30 matches – their results show 3 wins, 5 draws and 22 losses.  Two of their wins game last season as they defeated Lithuanians Ekranas home and away, the only time they have qualified a tie.  Levadia are 16 games into their league season and that is always something im on the look at for in these head to head ties. They sit atop the league with 35 points from 16 games, having not lost in 10 matches.  Levadia have taken 9 league titles over the last 15 years since the leagues inception. They have a lot of European experience with 42 games. They have 12 wins, 9 draws and 21 losses. They have gotten through 9 ties and that is a decent record at this level. Recent years have included qualifications against Siaulia (LIT) Bala (WAL) and La Florita (SAN).

 

This looks like its Levadia’s tie this one and I cannot see Crusaders being able to compete. They are part time and have little experience at this level. Comfortable win for the visitors here at a good price.
