DYNAMO KIEV V PSG PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Dynamo Kiev are currently 3^rd in the Ukrainian Premier League with 31 points from 16 matches, a huge 14 points behind leaders Shakhtar.  Their recent form has been very inconsistent with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses in their last 5.  In the Champions League they are 3^rd in the group with 4 points, well off their opponents in 2^nd place by 5 points.  A 3^rd place finish and Europe League appearance looks very likely.

PSG are in the fight at the top of the table in Ligue 1.  They are currently in 3^rd place with 23 after 13 matches, 2 points behind leaders Lyon.  Their recent form has been very poor with 2 loses and a draw in their last 3 matches, they must quickly turn this around if they want to stay in the hunt.  In the Champions League things are going well with 3 wins from 4, just one more point is needed to confirm their participation in the knockout stages.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Kiev spent a huge amount of cash this summer to try and breakthrough in Europe and take the fight to Shakhtar domestically.  Things have not quite gone to plan though with them currently sitting in 3^rd place in the league, which would be a disaster as they wouldn’t have a chance at Champions League qualifying next year.  They are also likely to go out in the group stages, albeit in a very difficult group.

PSG has also gone down the route of big investment looking for instant returns and like Kiev, things aren’t going all their own way.  They’ve spent €200m in 2 seasons but are still in a tough fight in Ligue 1.  If they were to lose the league this season then it’d have to be seen as a failure, but a strong Champions League showing could soften the blow.

The market sees this as a very tight match with PSG a small favourite away from home.  I think the teams should be quite evenly matched in this with any result possible.

I think the value here is found with Stan James who are offering a very generous 3.0 on a Dynamo Kiev home win.

Kiev has seen an average of just 1.6 goals per game over their last 5 and that includes a 5-0 win.  PSG has seen 2.8 goals per game over their last 5.  It is no surprise that the under is a favourite here which I think is fair but with the quality attackers on show, especially with PSG, anything is possible.
