FC Copenhagen v Juventus predictions & betting tips

FC Copenhagen is 1-4-3 so far domestically. However, they’re unbeaten in the last five. Most FCK supporters will say they’ve had an upswing after Ståle Solbakken rejoined the club as head coach. It’s a given they’ll stay as compact as they can, handing over a lot of possession to Juventus and then try to counter. Can they do it? Yes, but they have to get really lucky. Solbakken will be happy he can choose from a fully fit squad though.

Juventus played 1-1 away to Inter this weekend, and are 2-1-0 so far in Italy. They had a wonderful transfer window and coach Conte now has a top drawer squad at his disposal. Box to box midfielder and Italy midfielder Marchisio and Uruguay international defender Caceres are both unavailable. So is Pepe!

Juventus will probably not underestimate the Danes as they have the 1-1 result from last season’s trip to Nordsjaelland fresh in their memory. Juventus will be given a lot of time on the ball here, so they need Pirlo, Vidal and Pogba to be on form so they can feed the ball to the wings or the preferred two that start up front (Most likely Tevez and Vucinic). Ogbonna and Quagliarella are both expected to be given a start here, and I do not think that will weaken Juve much at all. They are excellent players.

Juventus is of course massive favorites for the win, but 1.40 (2/5) for an away win in the Champions League doesn’t intrest me much. I rather go for Juventus to win to nil. I can’t really see the Italians give FC Copenhagen many chances in Parken. I can however see them scoring at least one as their creative players have a wide selection of pass abilities in their tool kit. That’s how you break down tough, physical, deep laying Nordic defenses.
