Liverpool take on Real Madrid in an epic clash at Anfield.  Liverpool have started the season in shakey form. Losing in Basel and only squeaking past Ludogorets. Real Madrid have beaten Ludogorets and smashed Basel. Liverpool will hope the fabled Anfield atmosphere will push the players and that for me is one of the few plusses for The Reds. The side without Suarez is a shadow of last year and there is little attacking impetus. For me I see Liverpool playing a sort of 4-5-1 with Sterling as a false 9 almost. Rodgers cannot rely on Balotelli who actually stifles the team. Hes not a fit for Liverpool at all and for all his talent neither party seems suited. Madrid will miss Gareth Bale but their attacking options are immense.

I really fear for Liverpool here. They could be smashed off the park such is the talent of Real Madrid. However we all know of the famous Anfield European nights and the whole crowd will be on song. The players should react and I can see a good performance from the home side. Even this though will not be enough for me and the gulf in class between both sides is huge. Take both to score and Real Madrid win. Huge price available on this one.
