A very tight 1st leg in Slovenia left Maribor with a 1-0 win to take to play Maccabi Tel Aviv. Unfortunately for the Isrealis there will be no home leg and the tie is being played in Larnaca, Cyprus. The 1st leg was very balanced indeed, although plenty of chances created by both sides there was no cutting edge and the game lacked a real finisher. I see more of the same here in the 2nd which by nature will be more cagier. Maribor will play tight and Maccabi will be weary of the away goal.
A tight game for sure and the added heat and humidity of Larnaca (30C and over 75% humidity) mean the conditions will hamper both teams. Neither looked sharp at all in front of goal and the unders looks the best shout here.
