PSV Eindhoven v AC Milan predictions and betting tips
PSV Eindhoven is three matches deep into their domestic season. Three wins and a goal difference of 8-2 are pretty solid stats. In the first game against Ado Den Haag they let their opponent get too many chances after they went 3-0 up, but their defense has been shored up after that as both NEC and Go Ahead Eagles have been held to nil. They dominated against Zulte-Waregem in the 2nr Champions League qualification round too, winning 5-0 on aggregate.
PSV has lost some very good players this transfer window in Strootman and Mertens in Midfield, Lens and Marcelo up front as well as left back Pieters. They have however brought in some quality in Maher (Midfield), Bruma (Defender) and ex-United player Park (Midfielder).
Park Ji-Sung and striker Zakaria Bakkali are doubts for PSV.
AC Milan hasn’t gotten started domestically, but they’ve played some tough friendlies against good opponents. So far it’s been a rather slow motion transfer window for Milan, perhaps not strange with the clubs owner in dire legal straits. Midfielder Andrea Poli might get some game time as he is on the fringes of the Italy squad. Another midfielder, Urby Emanuelson was with Milan on loan, but has now signed for the club. The same holds true for Cristian Zapata (Defender). Milan legend, Ambrosini has gone on a free transfer to Fiorentina.
Balotelli is expected to play a part here, but Mattia De Sciglio, Luca Antonini and Robinho sit out.
PSV Eindhoven – AC Milan betting tips
Key points for me:
1. PSV has really done well both domestically and in Champions League qualification so far
2. AC Milan is most likely not up to speed, at least not for the full 90 minutes against a match fit PSV side. I really can’t see them winning this one!
3. PSV has a lot of experience in Europe
I think this is advantage PSV Eindhoven in a game that otherwise will be pretty even.
