In the Champions League, Valencia is WWWDDW (4-2-0) in their last six home games. The goal average was 4 goals per game. It must be said this figure includes a 6-1 thrashing of Bursaspor and a 7-0 demolition of Genk. Four out of six went over 2.5 however, and Valencia scored 2+ four out of six.
Group F in this year’s edition of the Champions League is very even. BATE Borisov, Bayern Munich and Valencia are all at 6 points in three matches played. Valencia opened this campaign with a 2-1 loss away to Bayern before they went on to beat Valencia 2-0 at home and BATE Borisov 3-0 away in a game where Soldado scored a hat-trick.

So far in the Champions League BATE has notched an impressive home win versus Bayern Munchen and a solid 3-1 away victory to Lille. Last time around they ended their massive run and got down to earth with a 3-0 loss at home to Valencia.
Run of play and team news
Valencia should see around 60% possession time here. I am fairly sure BATE coach Goncharenko will focus on a tight defence as he learnt last time around that trying to go toe to toe with Valencia can be lethal for his side, a side that consists more or less only of homegrown players. The recipie for the visitors will be blistering speed counter attacks. Who can blame the man, so far it has worked pretty well for them. To score 3 goals both against Lille and Bayern Munich is quite impressive. They got plenty of players who can contribute going forward, and they're technically very educated. Valencia will have to work hard to break BATE Borisov's defence.
Valencia, has improved their form dramatically and at Mestalla they are tough for any opponent. Valencia has class in every sector of the pitch. Their defence and midfield has a very high La Liga standard, and Valencia are fortunate to have a player like Soldado up front. He is a massive attacking force. Valencia will be high on confidence from the win in the reverse tie, and their historic results in Europe.
Edit: Roberto Solado is a doubt for this clash. This due to family issues. Should he not play Valencia has decent cover, but we will not be recommending caution in your betting on over 2.5 goals unless the line moves higher than what we picked at the time of writing.
Valencia v BATE Borisov predictions: 1x2 preview
WIth around 55-60% possession Valencia is capable enough to create a lot of chances. Looking at their home stats, I think it's fair to say they are likely to convert well. Given the strength of this team I am confident they will score, and I am also fairly sure they will score more than one. BATE Borisov has had a great run, but should not be a match for the top European clubs. I suspect they've been running well over EV in terms of goal conversion of chances created. Ladbrokes is offering 1.29 for the home win. I can't see why that shouldn't be a good bet.
1.29 for Valencia is found at Giant bookmaker Ladbrokes here
Valencia - BATE Borisov predictions: Asian Handicap preview
My preview so far clearly points toward Valencia teaching BATE Borisov a lesson. The Belarussians are likely to get a tough night, as the in-form home side attempts to slice and dice their defence. The 1.81 offered by ComeOn for Valencia -1.5 looks very interesting. From the stats above we can see Valencia at home frequently score two goals or more, and there is no statistical proof that BATE are good enough to limit Valencia's goal superiority if the home side fires on all cylinders. I like 1.81 here very much.
If you agree with my predictions: Valencia at 1.81 is found at ComeOn
Valencia - BATE Borisov predictions: Total Goals preview
Given my preview and predictions so far I am sure you know what I am about to conclude. Valencia to me is likely to score 2+, and yes; I do think they the third goal needed will come as well. This looks like an over 2.5 goals game to me. 188BET offers 1.75, and I am quite frankly happy with that price.
My prediction is over 2.5 goals. If you agree, just click here: 188BET, over 2.5 goals at 1.75
