Guangzhou Evergrande beat Al Ahly with a strong showing and will go into this game with confidence. Two of the foreign imports Elkson and Conca scored in the 2-0 in quarter finals. The Chinese side were very comfortable and organised and fully deserved their win. However a win over an Egyptian side with little club activity over the whole year is poor preparation to face one of the best sides in world football. Bayern  are here to win the competition and even though they showed a rare weakness in the 3-2 loss to Man City in Champions League they are in top form. Pep Guardiola already has 2 Club Cup titles and his side will contest the final with Atletico MG for sure.

I don’t see any problems for Bayern Munich here. Evergrande have a few class players in Elkson and Conca but the rest of the squad, although the cream of China are not up to the task of taking on Bayern. To defeat the Germans you need an entire team of class, playing at 100% and on their game for 90 minutes. Bayern will have Evergrande chasing their tails for the whole game.
