Ulsan Hyundai are current Asian Champions League holders. The South Korean side went through the entire qualifying unbeaten such was their strength this year. Perhaps more impressive was their supreme attacking mentality, which was highlighted in the knockout stage of the Champions League, when they won all six matches to claim Asian dominance. However they could not quite cope with playing in the league and in continental competition and sit in a dissappointing 5th position in the top section. The Koreans have been national champions twice in their history but the last victory was in 2005. Ulsan Hyundai's key men are twin strike force of Kim Shinwook and Lee Keunhom with crack Brazilian Rafinha brought in towards the end of the season.
Monterrey are current CONCACAF Champions League winners and have been since 2010 after back to back victories. They have had their most impressive period of their entire history over the past few years with a couple of Mexican titles. They won the closing season of 2012 in impressive style but could not cope with the battle on two fronts in this years Apertura. They they will line up with the same nucleus of players as 2011 when they finished a dissappointing 5th, knocked out on penalties by local qualifiers Kashiwa Reysol. Monterrey are packed full of season players, with a host of Mexican internationals. Their talisman is Chilean Humberto Suazo, with 19 goals in 45 games this year. The star striker was voted the most influential player in North and Central America this season. The team are defined by their great team ethic, they are well organised and have a deadly striker in Suazo. Ulsan Hyundai could be a real live outsider for the title.

2.40 Monterrey (Unibet)is the selection in this game. This game is much closer than it seems. Both sides will be at full motivation for this game and this title is of mega importance to both sides. It will be very difficult for both sides who will not be used to playing teams like each other. I think the Mexican side are slightly the better side this season and can see a low scoring victory as both sides afford the other too much respect. 2.40 seems a huge price too as I would have Monterrey nearer to 2.10 and to rate them so close seems an error.

Monterrey (2.15) is the selection here at -0.25 (Pinnacle) Monterrey are under priced for me and should be a lot shorter. However the sheer magnitude of this game means it will be very tight indeed. Ulsan are a quality outfit no doubt but the Mexican side will fight for the 90 minutes and I do believe they are the better side of the two. A low scoring victory for the Central American giants is on the cards for me.
